While many have associated fall with all things pumpkin spice—and who can blame them, given the sheer abundance of pumpkin-flavored and pumpkin-flavored products that take over the food and beverage market every year at the first hint of summer’s demise—fall isn’t just the field of pumpkin-orange favorites. everybody. It’s also apples’ time to shine, and now, Krispy Kreme is celebrating the season with its new Fall Orchard Collection, including the new Apple Fritter.
On Monday, the donut chain announced its new batch of five donuts, three of which are brand new. There’s the new apple pie that’s described as handmade with diced apples, apple filling and lots of cinnamon, the new Maple Pecan Cheesecake, a cheesecake-flavored donut dipped in maple flavor and then topped with maple-flavored sprinkles and an “abundance” of pecan chunks, An apple donut stuffed with spiced apple, a donut dipped in cinnamon sugar with an apple flavored filling.
The three new offerings join two returning favorites, the Salted Caramel Browning Donut, an original glazed donut topped with a creamy salted caramel drizzle, salted caramel drizzle, brownie pieces and fall leaf sprinkles, and the popular Pumpkin Spice Cake Donut, the popular glazed, old-fashioned spiced pumpkin cake style.
“Fall brings us plenty of apple, walnut, maple and pumpkin flavors to enjoy,” Dave Skeena, chief global brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a statement. “Our new fall Orchard collection has all of that and more. Just one bite of our new handmade pie with real diced apples and generous amounts of cinnamon will make you a fall fan if you haven’t already.”
The new Autumn’s Orchard Collection is now available at participating Krispy Kreme locations. Apple Fritter is available for purchase individually as well as in a box of four. The donuts in the Autumn’s Orchard Collection are also available for individual purchase and can also be purchased at Autumn’s Lover’s Dozen Special, which includes three donuts—but does not include muffins. The collection is available until October 10th.
